About Shawn

A fearless leader for Maine

Shawn Bean was born in Biddeford and raised in Madison. He learned the value of hard work while growing up with a single mom and his loving grandparents. For the past 27 years, Shawn Bean has worked at the Sappi Paper Mill in Skowhegan as an air filtration specialist and lead person. As the Head Football Coach and Head Baseball Coach at Madison High School, Shawn Bean is a natural and tested leader. He wants to bring his working-class experience and deep understanding of small-town communities to the Maine Senate.

On the Issues

Seniors
Shawn Bean will work to ensure that Maine Senior citizens can age with dignity in their own homes. Our State Government must ensure that our seniors can keep up with the Cost Of Living.

Healthcare
Shawn Bean will continue the fight for the right to quality and affordable health care for all Mainers. Nobody should ever face a financial burden due to a medical emergency.

Jobs
Shawn Bean supports current Maine businesses and new businesses coming to Maine. He believes Maine government should provide economic opportunities for existing and new businesses.

Why Shawn’s running.

Shawn is running because he knows that a voice of the people needs to come forward. Shawn will put his voters before partisan politics — he knows that the voice of every Mainer must be heard. At a time when polarization and gridlock are at record highs, Shawn will rise above and do what is right for all of Maine. Shawn will honorably serve all of his constituents as he brings a common-sense, hard-working mentality to Augusta.
